Microsoft Surface Pro is in fact a tablet but at the same time also a notebook. This double function therefore makes it a unique device that is in all respects part of the 2 in 1 category.

The Microsoft Surface Pro is a device that is part of the convertible category. What is meant by convertible? A device of this type is usually hardware with a "tablet" type form factor to which a keyboard can be added, which can also act as a stand and support for the tablet itself, in order to transform it into a laptop computer.
We can therefore consider the Microsoft Surface Pro as a device belonging to the "hybrid laptop" category.
Even from a software point of view, this solution represents an "ad hoc" machine with a dedicated graphic interface and the possibility of using a mouse and dedicated applications and software. A Surface Pro , therefore, unlike an iPad, features native support for a keyboard and not something third-party like a keyboard case so common among other tablets might be.
The convertible category and in particular the Microsoft Surface Pro is therefore appreciated in particular for its versatility which allows you to convert your product from one use to another in just a few seconds. However, it would not be fair or correct to compare a Microsoft Surface Pro with an ultra portable, because the versatility of the product developed in Redmond makes it a little thicker and heavier than an ultra portable (but the latter will obviously never have tablet functionality).
However, like the same we have an ultra-defined display and an excellent set of connectivity ports that allow complete integration with any accessory device.

In tablet mode the Microsoft Surface Pro can in fact worthily replace a traditional Android or Apple tablet. Perfect for watching streaming content, it is also excellent for playing games, reading text content and news and doing all the classic activities that we would entrust to a tablet and/or an ebook reader.
The power of the touch screen in this mode is truly useful, with many controls that make life and use easier for the user.
Performance, in both modes
The build quality of the Microsoft Surface Pro is appreciated in both possible phases of use. Excellent sizing and the choice of high-performance hardware makes the Surface Pro excellent to use even in laptop computer mode, which is certainly the most expensive of the two possible modes from a performance point of view.
Surface Pro therefore competes with the most common laptops on the market, allowing the use of all desktop software that is used on a laptop. In the Windows Store we then find the possibility of searching and finding even the lightest variant of the apps themselves for optimized and studied use even when the Microsoft Surface Pro is used in tablet mode.

Obviously when used on the move it becomes necessary to manage the battery if you don't want to risk it running out of battery quickly. The usual energy saving precautions that are useful for any device therefore apply. From correctly managing the brightness level to disabling unnecessary connections, up to managing running software.
Even though energy savings are optimized at every level, the life of a Microsoft Surface Pro still remains lower than that of a tablet with the same dimensions and features.

On the one hand, the pen, a truly well-made product, with pressure recognition and automatic deactivation of tactile inputs. With this pencil it is possible to write, draw and color at an excellent level and as per Microsoft standards it succeeds more or less well in any task, although without excelling in any one in particular.
The keyboard is also well made and optimized. Backlit with LED lighting, it always remains cool, allowing long writing sessions. The layout and spacing of the keys is also good, especially with the Type Cover of the Surface Pro 4.

From an aesthetic point of view, Microsoft Surface Pro is a well-made product with a simple but recognizable design, which is also highlighted and enhanced based on the color gradation chosen.
To conclude
We only had to briefly test the Microsoft notebook to understand why it is considered one of the best hybrid or convertible systems on the market. In fact, this product competes on equal terms with Apple, to the delight of fans of this operating system. Obviously in just a few days we were not able to discover all the secrets of the best notebook from Microsoft, but they were more than enough to convince us.
