The Legrand UPS model TRIMOD HE 10 is an uninterruptible power supply with high frequency PWM technology, On Line Double Conversion type, through neutral, modular architecture, possibility of redundant N+X configuration, Nominal Power 10 kVA – 10 kW, equipped with hermetic accumulator batteries regulated by valve, contained inside the UPS in a special compartment or in one or more external cabinets, sized to guarantee the containment of weights and tensions. The TRIMOD HE 10 UPS has a modular architecture, i.e. composed of identical modules which, working conceptually in parallel, make up the power section (3.4 kVA power modules) and the storage battery (battery modules) of the 'UPS. These modules are contained in the UPS and have identical functions. The power modules are composed of the functional blocks listed below:
• Rectifier/PFC
• Inverter
• Battery charger
• Command and control logic
• Automatic by-pass circuit
The battery modules, on the other hand, are made up of a series of 5 batteries, protected by appropriate fuses in series, placed on an easily removable drawer. The UPS can be easily configured by the user, during installation, to manage both three-phase and single-phase input power and also be configurable in output with both three-phase and single-phase distribution. The modularity of the UPS is such as to allow expansions of power and/or autonomy, on site (upgrade on site) without the need for calibration, setting, factory modifications and in any case without using dedicated instrumentation ( possibility through appropriate sizing). The modular UPS can be configured as a power-redundant N+X system, with 3.4 kVA power modules, contained in the UPS cabinet, with appropriate mechanical restraints and dedicated and predisposed electrical connections. Redundancy is achieved by means of an architecture based on the concept of load sharing. The TRIMOD HE 10 UPS, if configured with single-phase output, has a distributed parallel type architecture, i.e. all the power modules present share the load (load sharing) in such a way that none of the power modules remain inactive or in stand-by, thus ensuring total continuity of power supply to the loads even in the event of a fault (subject to appropriate redundant sizing). If configured with three-phase output, the distributed parallel type modular architecture is valid if there are one or more modules for each phase; in fact, the nominal power that can be delivered by the sum of the modules operating for each phase is always available to the user, who can operate at a reduced load or, in the case of a redundant configuration, at a normal load.
